Use the web app to send a small USDC thank-you to a GitHub or X handle.

Use /send for normal human sends. The sender wallet signs the transaction directly.

You need:

  • a recipient handle such as github:alice or x:bob
  • a small USDC amount on Base
  • a short note with concrete context
  • Coinbase, Metamask/injected, or WalletConnect

Good notes include an artifact:

pr:owner/repo#42 — caught race in bundler
x:2055825024901378483 — useful risk warning
review:owner/repo#42 — security notes
  1. Open boonprotocol.com/send.
  2. Enter the handle, amount, and note.
  3. Connect your wallet.
  4. If your Base USDC balance is short, use the Coinbase Onramp session.
  5. Return to Boon and recheck balance.
  6. Approve exactly the displayed USDC amount if needed.
  7. Confirm the Boon.tip() transaction.
  8. Save or share the receipt URL when the transaction confirms.
  • If the recipient already linked a wallet, the boon pushes immediately.
  • If the recipient has not linked yet, the USDC stays in escrow until they claim.
  • The amount, sender, handle, and note are public onchain event data.

Boon is for small retroactive thank-yous, not payroll, invoices, or hidden transfers. Use small amounts while the contract is unaudited.
